The Story
Embers was first envisioned in the beginning of 2013, the former hardware store in the beautiful coastal town of Urunga, 15 minutes from Coffs Harbour and midway between Sydney and Brisbane. An empty, dusty space set the scene for a relaxed dining experience coupled with understated Mediterranean cuisine and attentive service. In December 2013 the vision became a reality and Embers was born, a modern Tuscan style atmosphere encompassing the warm hand built woodfired oven.
The Restaurant

We source the finest ingredients including artisan meats from across Australia, fresh local oysters and seafood, organic tomatoes, imported Italian cheeses and herbs grown in our courtyard garden.
The Takeaway
Traditional Italian style woodfired pizza made from slow fermented dough and hand rolled to order.
Our chef slow cooks our tomato sauce for days to infuse the roast vegetables, spices and herbs into every mouthful. House made ice creams and sorbets.
